Rather than limit its giving to a particular issue area, the Dancing Tides Foundation seeks out leaders and innovators within the nonprofit space who are tackling the world’s most challenging problems in unconventional and ambitious ways.

To maximize the impact of its gifts, the Foundation evaluates opportunities by the following criteria:

• Projects must align with the foundation’s stated mission and areas of interest.

• Charitable partners must be accountable, transparent, and use meaningful metrics to evaluate their performance.

• Organizations should follow good governance practices and limit unnecessary administrative and fundraising costs. They should also prioritize financial sustainability and long-term independence.
